केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री डॉ. वीरेंद्र कुमार के साथ महापौर अभय दरे, निगम के कंसल्टेंट राजेंद्र सिलाकारी सोमवार को दिल्ली पहुंचे थे। दिल्ली में केंद्रीय शहरी एवं विकास मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी से सागर के अटके प्रोजेक्ट और स्मार्ट सिटी के कार्यों और बजट को लेकर विस्तार से चर्चा की गई है।

नगरनिगम के विभिन्न विभागों में पदस्थ कर्मचारी सालों से ड्यूटी पर रहे हैं या नहीं इससे किसी को कोई सरोकार नहीं, निगम से हर महीने बाकायदा उनकी तनख्वाह निकल रही है। इस बात का खुलासा बुधवार को मालियों की बैठक में हुआ।

सागर | पूर्व महापौर अभय दरे द्वारा कोरोना से पीड़ित मदद के लिए महापौर वेतन की जमा राशि 7 लाख रुपए में 1 लाख रुपए मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष और 50 हजार रुपए रेडक्रास सोसायटी को देने की घोषणा की है। उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान दरे ने अपना वेतन कभी नहीं लिया।

Now the Municipal Corporation has started working on a war footing under the cleanliness survey. Corporation workers have already been deployed to continuously monitor the OD sites identified in the city. After this, the corporation has now taken advantage of the darkness to stop people from going for open defecation. Mayor Abhay Dare on Thursday gave instructions to make adequate lighting arrangements at the identified OD sites of the city. Apart from this, he also talked about providing torches to the corporation workers deployed at OD sites. So that continuous monitoring can be done at the OD site.

The Mayor Abhay Dare has been active regarding cleanliness, first of all, he inspected the open defecation places around the railway track in Bhagwanganj ward early in the morning. Apart from this, he also took stock of the cleanliness arrangements at OD sites in Bhagat Singh Ward, around Bhuteshwar Temple, Santarvidas Ward, Subhash Nagar, Tulsi Nagar, Motinagar, Ambedkar Ward, and the area around IHSDP scheme.

Inspected the cleanliness of Sulabh Complex located at Rahatgarh Bus Stand. While discussing with the people, he advised them to use community toilets and also talked about motivating the people around him. Ward residents including councilor Mahesh Ahirwar, Sitaram Pachkodi, Delansingh Chaudhary, Prabhu Dayal Sahu, and Manoj were present during the inspection.

Will build temporary toilets

Mayor Abhay Dare said that continuous monitoring of OD sites has started. Apart from this, instructions have been given to make cleanliness and lighting arrangements here. Besides, temporary toilets will also be constructed at 19 OD sites in the city. So that people do not face any problems.

Distribute dustbins

In the afternoon, Mayor Abhay Dare along with cleanliness brand ambassador Yogacharya Vishnu Arya and officials of the Sarafa Association gave the message of cleanliness by distributing dustbins in the Bada Bazaar area. Dare said that last year there was competition between 434 cities in the country, ow there is competition between 4041 cities. Therefore we need to work harder and support everyone. So that we can reach first place in the country. People should keep dustbins at their establishments. On this occasion, Bullion Association President Govind Jadia, Ayodhya resident Goldsmith Society President Makhan Soni, Vikram Soni, Councilor Yakriti Jadia, Dharmendra Khatik, Kanchan Gupta, Somesh Jadia, Madhav Soni, Prashant Dare, etc. were present.

Two employees suspended

Corporation Commissioner Anurag Verma has suspended Kallu Raikwar of the Planning Branch and Samaypal Ramesh Kushwaha of the Public Works Branch for missing from duty and being negligent in the cleanliness program.

Encroachment will be removed
Mayor Abhay Dare said that during the inspection of the Rahatgarh bus stand, it was found that there was an illegal occupation. Half of which has been removed by the corporation, action will be taken against the remaining encroachments. The bus stand premises will be leveled by pouring mud and arrangements will be made to park the passenger vehicles and buses parked on the road in the premises.

The meeting of the Smart City Advisory Forum was held on Wednesday at the Smart City Company Office. In the presence of Mayor Abhay Dare, Municipal Commissioner Smart City ED RP Ahirwar, Smart City CEO Rahul Singh, and advisory committee members, information on the topics of city development and beautification was presented and suggestions were also given during the discussion. The agenda mainly included 7 topics.  Abhay Dare said that in the meeting mainly issues related to drainage of waterlogging during rains in the city, old Dufferin Hospital, and the heritage project were discussed.

He said that the Municipal Corporation’s stadium will be beautified with an amount of Rs 55 crore, in which there will be seating for 7 thousands people, along with this, solar panels will be installed for the electricity system, the stadium will have cricket, hockey, basketball, table tennis, Turf track will be built for football and running, proper parking arrangements will be made in the stadium. 

Apart from this, suggestions came forward from  Abhay Dare that if Tapra Market from Jaistambh to the Municipal Corporation Market in front of Katra Masjid should be made a concrete market through Smart City, then parking below and shops should be built above, then Katra Market will be beautified and the shopkeepers there will get a good market. Besides, the traffic system of the city will be improved on a large scale.

Abhay Dare, while talking about the inclusion of the Bada Bazaar area in the Smart City Project, said that Sagar is known as the biggest market for silver jewelry in the state, hence the biggest traffic problem is in the bullion market located in Bada Bazaar. it occurs. For this, under the Smart City, a Silver Plaza Market should be constructed from Bada Bazar Sarafa Bazar to Paras Talkies to Shriram Chowk, in which parking arrangements should be made below and permanent shops should be constructed above. The shopkeepers and residents there should be given space in the market. Apart from this, various topics were discussed in the meeting. Advisory members Eng Prakash Choubey, Makhanlal Soni, Neha Jain, and smart city officials and employees were present in the meeting.
